I want to add 1/2 with 1/4. First I change 1/2 to  then I add

1/3 + 1/6. 1/3 =  2/6 2/6 + 1/6 = 3/6

1/4 + 1/8.  1/4 = 2/8 2/8 + 1/8 = 3/8

How can I change 1/3 into sixths ( /6)? 4/6

How can I change 2/3 into twelfths ( /12) 4/12
