Volcanic eruption

This Is A Model Of The Stages Of A Volcano That I made

Is it common for a volcano to erupt in New Zealand? Not really because the last time a volcano erupted in New Zealand was about 500 - 1000 years ago. the way a volcano erupts Volcanoes erupt when molten rock also known as (magma) rises to the surface. Magma is formed when the earth's mantle melts. If magma is thick gas bubbles cannot easily escape and pressure builds up as the magma rises. When the pressure is too much an explosive eruption can happen, which can be dangerous and destructive. and also there are about 17 volcanoes in New Zealand

And here are some New Zealand volcano facts One of the world’s largest explosions in the last 5,000 years happened when volcanic vents in the Taupō region erupted. The huge crater that was left filled with water and formed Lake Taupō. and also Tarawera, a volcano near Rotorua, erupted in 1886. It is thought that about 120 humans in New Zealand died. One more volcano fact about new zealand is Ruapehu is our largest active volcano. It erupted in 1995 and 1996 and again about 10 years later.

Volcanic Eruption Experiment

Today my class 9RKU did a volcanic eruption experiment with baking soda and vinegar and some food colouring so we put a accurate amount of vinegar in a measuring cylinder cylinder with a eye dropper and a small spoon of baking soda.

volcanic eruption
volcano's erupt from the magma gaining magma chambers and then the magma finds there though the vets in the walls of the volcano. when the magma reaches to the top of the volcano which causes an eruption.
